La Leche League Mumbai

Hi all, I am happy to say that La Leche League is in Mumbai and has been for more than a year now. It is a breast feeding support group which is part of a world org which supports and promotes breast feeding. The concept is that they conduct meetings once a month for pregnant mums and also for mums who are nursing. It is informal and mums can interact with each other and exchange information and also support each other. the meetings are in a series of 4. each covering a different topic. Mums may attend as many as they like as often as they like. The meetings are free although they do have a library and if u wish to borrow books then you have to become a member. The LLL leader is also available on phone should you require any assistance with a breast feeding query. At present we have 3 groups which meet in Mumbai - Bandra, Breach Candy and Mulund. You can select the one which is closest to you. And hey it gives you a chance to get out of the house with your new baby to a place where a crying or nursing baby is not frowned upon.
