Been a long time since I have been able to get on and put something on my blog. Today I will be attending the monthly meeting of La Leche League. When I was pregnant and then a nursing mother I would read about this International organisation and wish that we had something like this in our city. Now my kids are way past the age when I need LLL but hurrah for the new mums in Mumbai because we have 3 groups meeting regularly in the city. And I suppose if you wish really hard things actually happen. My own wishful thinking also led to the concept of Early Years which is a group which meets every 2 months and also meets online. And hey online can be at any time of the day. Imagine you log in and you have a large group of friends waiting to listen to you, help you and so on. It makes you feel that you belong and then you don't feel as lonely. In all the early years of parent hood when you feel that it is nothing but an upward climb, imagine you have so many hands who hold you and pull and carry you up the difficult slopes. Support is the most important aspect of early parenthood and I think every new parent will vouch for it.
